Really Amy Poehler!?!
11 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand why Amy Poehler directed this movie. She's a good writer. She should know better. It's a cliche', predictable, unfunny, and forced script by one of the the co-stars and SNL writer Emily Spivy. I would expect Poehler to agree to direct it if she could make some changes and improve the script. Or maybe she's not as good a writer as I thought. Either way, it's a waste of time to watch when there's so much to choose from these days.

I would've turned it off after the cliche' opening where all 6 girls are talking about the upcoming trip on the phone together, but I thought there had to be something worthwhile and funny coming. It never did materialize and, by that time, I was too deep in. So I took my punishment and forced myself to finish watching it.

Paula Pell was the only really funny character as I assume this was meant to be a dramedy. Tina Fey wasn't bad either. Their characters were more understated and not overly annoying like the others.

Makes you think

Why hasn't any serious filmmakers made a movie about Sam Cooke's life and, the probable cover-up of, his death?! Would make a very compelling film if in the right hands.

One of the best series you'll find on any platform. Grabs your attention until the end of the next episode and keeps it until the next one. Excellent cast, directing, dialogue, story, cinematography and so on.
