Of course there r millions of films making u cry at least just a lil bit, even by joy or positive emotions (Avengers Endgame for example between so many) or cry with laughter.
This list isn't concerned by those.
Only very moving movies will figure in it. Movies making u unable not to cry, apart maybe if u have a real stone or ice heart; and not even sure in these cases.

In order to shorten the list, won't put all the sequels of the remakes.
Also, when u have a new Batman, Punisher, Fantastic Four or another movie from a comic book, it's not a remake but a new adaptation of the eponym comics.
Also, won't put any Dracula, Frankenstein, 4 Musketeers nor Heidi... movie, cause they are new adaptations of famous books, not remakes of the previous movies.
Same for Robin Hood, King Arthur... and many other historical or mythological characters.
In other cases, it's different.
For exemple, Mulan is a chinese old story, and there have been an excellent chinese movie in 2009, but of course it's not a remake of the Disney classic of 1998... but the 2020 Disney will be a live adaptation of their own version of this story, so, it's a remake of the 1998 classic.
Same for Jungle Book, Dumbo... all from books and adapted many times, but those live versions of Disney are remakes of their movies, more than new adaptations of the books.
You have also the cases of video games adaptation. The new Tomb Raider or the next Resident Evil or Far Cry movies aren't remakes of the previous movies but new adaptations of the eponym video game series.

Some of my favorite singers and bands.
Sadly, some aren't in the site, like the greaaat swiss rap band Sens Unik, and neither the great new-yorkers who are the rap band Da Nayborhoodz, or the german dark metal band Das Ich, and not even the swiss DJ Yves Larock.

List of movies I PLANNED to see on big screens but WON'T.
Ok, lemme explain in details:
1st of all, I'll put in this list only movies BEFORE they come out, not the movies I missed when they went out in the past, nor movies that didn't went out in my city. I won't remove them from the list as they'll come out anyway, but won't add any movie after its release.
Cinema has always been my passion n°1, and I always saw around 100 movies in theatres by year (it'd've been even way more if I was living in a big city, where all the movies I wanna see went out, but each year, tons of movies go out in cinemas... but not in my place, sadly), at least each year in the last 20 years. Some I wanted to see there, I still didn't see them 25 years after. Despite this fact, since many years, it becomes harder and harder to support the attitudes of the other spectators, no matter their ages or type or sex... people nowadays seem to have received ZERO education. Like it wasn't enough to have people talking, noises of popcorns, of plastic bags or food bags, the CANCER or cinema that decided me not to renew my annual subscription, probably the hardest decision of my life. I know it'll b a great pain already in 1 week and each wednesday to see the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 movies going out that I wanna see and will for some NEVER see, despite the fact I want to see some since many many years that they have been announced. Of course I have 2000 DVDs/BRs, I'm on Disney + and Netflix, and I have around 500 movies recorded on my TV-box, but I'll miss anyways of course every time not to see movies on big screen anymore. Probably not never again in my life, but certainly really rarely, cause it's very expansive in my place, for 1 ticket. I was going so often that it was like I was paying each ticket 5-6 times less, so, it was cheap in a way, although it costed me several hundreds by year... But it was my one and only hobby, so, it'll make me miss it even way more than if I had other. I'll stay in my home, never putting a feet outside for the rest of my life, dying alone and forgotten. What a great future... that could b not so long anymore considering what tomorrow will b for the entire world... Well, I still didn't really explain. This CANCER IS THE CELLPHONE, and u all bitches watching it all the time. Even when I'm in a cinema with hundreds of seats and only 1-2 people with me in it, I almost never profited of a movie from the beginning to the end without seeing at least once a phone, and this in the hundreds and hundreds of film screenings since many many years that the smartphones went out. I also have a big rage not only against shitty people without education, respect for other, but against the theatres themselves, for not asking people to TURN THEIR FUCKING PHONES OFF during the movies, AS EVERY NORMAL AND RESPECTFUL, EDUCATED PERSON should do, EVEN WITHOUT HAVING TO BE ASKED FOR. Some people even use their phones 10-5, 20 times during a movie, some use it during 2-5-10 minutes without any break, some even dare to answer when it rings, some even don't cut the ringing of their phone. A few times, I asked people to stop using it, and they always did it, but the pbs r: A) I don't wanna have to do the police B) 1 time, a guy with the arms of Schwarzenegger continued using it and was very threatening C) When I ask this, I have to talk, and even if of course, I do it the less loud possible, as the people sometimes r far of my seat, other people hear anyway, and even if no 1 never dared to ask me to shut up when I asked to turn off the phone, as I'm very very respectful and don't wanna disturb anyone in any way, I almost never said anything, although, TENS or even HUNDREDS of times, because of the cellphones of crapy people, I lost my focus for some seconds, and didn't follow what was happening in the movie, missed some dialogues... Another new bad habit of people since a few years is to enter in the cinema late, sometimes VERY LATE, sometimes half an hour after the movie started, and their movement always disturbs as well and make u miss things of the movie. Specially with those assholes turning on the flashlight of their phone and letting it a very long time to install them, although the movie has already began. If u r late, U DISTURB PEOPLE, so, the less u could do is sitting as fast as possible, without using any light (u wait some light from the big screen if it's really too dark, but people use their flashlight sometimes even when it's really clear inside the cinema). And also, people passing in front of u without even trying to b as little as possible, without bending over, in order not to hide the screen too much for people seated in the rows behind. THAT'S THE MINIMUM U HAVE TO DO!!! Those people makes me wanna break their phones on their heads of bastards. Last but not least, it seems it became a new mode to go in the toilets (or elsewhere) during the movie, even when it's really short, even when it started a short moment ago. Sometimes, in a pretty empty cinema, I have to support 4-5-6 10 people leaving it (and of course turning back then) during a single movie, so, that makes 8-10 or even 20 times people moving, walking, and 8-10 or 20 times where u, at least, miss a few seconds of the movie, of ur concentration, eve if they don't pass in front of u, even if they r very far, even if they don't use their flashlight. So, this never ending intro to wish u all the worst, as u all contributed to destroy my life. If only respect was still "fashion" nowadays... So, I'll start this list by putting movies I want(ed) to see in the cinema each time I think to some, and I'll probably edit it most of the wednesdays by checking the list of movies coming out.
P.S.: Of course, some of these movies r planned to go out in many years, and even for some in a few months, we don't know yet if they'll come out to theatres, or b on DTV or on a platform, and in those cases, I wouldn't have seen them in cinema by definition, so, they shouldn't b in this list, but I won't pass my time to check how movies come out, so, never mind, they r here, they r here.
Check my 2 and a half years old list to see which movies I saw in cinema... of course, it's really incomplete, as I never wrote them anywhere, so, my memory made me forget many many many of them certainly, specially the ones I saw as a kid. But anyways, it contain near 2000 movies, and I even ain't old yet: https://imdb.1eye.us/list/ls096795419/

Of course, some of the movies or series I watched on them, I saw them before in theatre and/or TV, DVD, as they are buying thousand of movies and series added to their own original productions, and of course, most of their movies and series were existing before the platforms.
Another thing.
There won't be much Disney classic nor Marvel, nor Pixar, nor Star Wars, nor Disney live action remakes in this list, cause I own almost all of them on DVD/BR.
Many of the movies watched on Disney + or Netflix or Prime Video, I had them on DVD/BR/VHS... before my house burnt at 100% 1 year and a half ago.
Here's a list of movies to avoid when ur house burned.
https://imdb.1eye.us/list/ls049099772/
I had 1600 movies in my collection.
https://imdb.1eye.us/list/ls040931027/
Since that, I bought a lot of them back, and of course as well new movies, or some I hadn't, and I have already maybe 1200 again now.

So, 2 years and a half after having created the opposite list (cinema movies adapted from TV series):
https://imdb.1eye.us/list/ls043131308/
I create this one (TV series adapted from cinema movies).
Won't put the animated series, cause there are too many... except when animated series are adaptation of live movies (like Fast & Furious, Jurassic Park or Blade Runner), and that there aren't live action series adapted from the same movies as well (for exemple, I put the 3 live action Star Wars series but not the many animated ones: Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistence, Bad Batch, Lego Star Wars: Freemakers).

Only games adapted from movies in this list, not the opposite. Also, won't put for exemple some of my Star Wars or Lord of the Rings games cause they aren't adaptation of the movies but only inspired by them, or set in this universe without connection with the movies. It can b the case as well for games inspired by other movies that aren't adaptations of them.

So far, the worst 2 movies of 2023 I saw r from Disney, and y that, because they r the most polluted studio, the most obeying to the Wokshit sect, that is literally DESTROYING the world, with the complicity of Disney, Netflix and most of the international huge societies (not just studios, but societies).
Still 2-3 years ago, I was saying Disney was so great, I so loved them (despite obviously many bad movies in the past, but like every studio, and even if many movies were way worst than those 2023 ones, at least, they were bad for good reasons, not because they decided to piss on their fans/clients' faces by forgetting to write a scenario to more make propaganda, proselytism, a list of what to think, what to say, what to do, to try to re-educate people, to manipulate them for the benefit of the most dangerous and unhealthy and powerful and disrespectful and against any liberty sect ever, I named Wokism), but now, each day I feel more hate for them, spoiling all my life's dreams they gave us; and the worst is that I pay them each month cause I'm on Disney +, but obviously, as they don't have only their last 2 years' productions on it, u also have all their masterpieces of the past there and so many also of the 20th Century Fox as they bought it some years ago, like the best movie ever, Die Hard, the very 1st.
But I don't need D+ for those obviously, cause I own all the D.H., Alien, Titanic, Avatar, Marvel, Pixar, Disney classics, Star Wars, Indiana Jones... on DVD, on my collection of near 2000 titles, that u can see on my list there:
https://imdb.1eye.us/list/ls040931027/
Anyways, there still r tons of great things on D+ that I don't own on DVD, so, it's worth it. U'll see it's far of 2000 movies, "only" near 1500, but 1st, I own some movies that aren't on Imdb, so, I can't add them in my list of course, then I forgot to add many of them cause I stopped to complete my list when I was buying movies during a very long period, also cause I have some in boxes in the attics that I forgot, and finally cause I also have many many series' DVD sets, and I put only movies in this list (as the title indicates) and never made a list of the series I own on DVD.
