What a plot hole plot armour whatever you wanna call it. Saving armin makes 0 sense no matter how much you want to think about it. 1- If you wanna think about it tactically Erwin is the better candidate and even Levi and hange acknowledge that and we know it's not about that but selfishness from Levi. 2- if it's about selfishness it STILL doesn't make sense. Levi know how much important Erwin's dream is for him and letting him die makes no sense. He even told Levi I've considered death multiple times but my dream kept me going so saying he should rest makes absolutely no sense story wise. Some people talk about the hand slap but that's only because he remembered his teacher. And let's assume he really did slap Levi hand to have Levi save armin it would be out of character for Erwin because even when he thought of the suicidal plan he didn't want to execute it until Levi told him give up and die. And what's even dumber is the fact that when he slapped his hand he said the line about the teacher which is if the characters acted like they would usually Levi would remember Erwin's dream. Erwin should've died in the battlefield without flock bringing him back. I understand that increase tension but it ruined some of the great story telling AOT has. Oh and not once but twice in the span of only two episodes did they let not one but two of the enemies get away with the same dumb excuse. I understand if hange would think like that but Levi not killing zeke makes no sense.

It had good and bad. I liked Rogers execution and I think they did really good with that especially that shanks and Mihawk stuff. I liked the Alvida stuff however I do NOT like luffys character there. His depth and writing was no where to be seen. He was supposed to be angry at Coby for being a coward but instead he was giving advice?? I really dislike the axe hand Morgan stuff and how much they changed that arc. I liked the Zoro-Mr 7 stuff and I really liked how it was more gore. They made axe hand stronger than he actually is but I don't mind that. What I do mind is they made that arc worse and it was already bad in the manga and anime. The best part in that arc was luffy punching Coby in the end but they completely removed that scene and again they removed luffy amazing character writing. Another thing I really dislike is how serious garp is in the live action. He also knows about boroque works but I actually don't mind that since it seems like boroque works in the live action is a lot less secretive. I really like buggy. Everything about him is perfect. The actor nailed that part especially his laugh. If luffy keeps going in this direction he's just going to be your average shallow main character with no real good writing or depth. They split his flashback and I don't mind it but I don't understand why they changed some of the scenes. Why didn't the bandit hit shanks in the face rather than than table and instead they added a corny scene of the bandit. I loved shanks sitting down and leaning in the table in the manga. It's something that I don't understand why they removed. Also I didn't like how they had shanks crew get ready for a fight when they already know that shanks isn't going to fight. And him saying "Not Everything has to be solved with violence" isn't shanks like. Saying "there's no point of fighting" or something along those lines would've been better. The show is fine but it won't Be one of the best if it keeps removing scenes that add depth and writing to certain characters. Characters like luffy shanks and Coby suffered greatly because of this.
