Blonde is not a movie about Marilyn Monroe. It shouldn't be viewed as a movie about Marilyn Monroe, but as its own story. This movie reminds me the most of the Joker (2019). Both characters are incredibly similar. They are raised by single and mentally ill mothers who they love and try to help, but can not. Norma and Arthur are sad people unable to function in the world without love which they can not find. They need personas and masks to keep them from crumbling. Both movies consist of characters looking for their father-savior, be it the real one or a substitute, but are hit by disappointment after disappointment until they snap.

Like the Joker, Blonde is at the same time preachy and without a message, except to love your fellow human being without judgment.

I would invite you to not prejudge Blonde. Ignore the controversy, historical accuracy, nudity, famous names, your own moral standards and just experiences as what it is: Hard journey of a character you should be glad you are not.

First, animation, it is ugly to me. Second, characters are boring and undeveloped beyond a stereotype, and only interesting character dyes in one of early episodes. Plot, it is one of thous 1 death per episode or so shows. Non of deaths made me feel anything. Characters didn't really care so why should I? Its like "A character is dead, lets do a time skip to after the crying and screaming is over." Characters are lucky or unlucky to the point of ridiculousness. Story is so slow and makes so little sense that i had to force my self to continue watching it several times. Ending is stupidly optimistic, with no emotional pay off. From prepper point of view: LoL this is so stupid!

You can see it is a cheap movie, but it is not boring or slow (or to long). Acting is not bad at all, effects are OK and story is typical home invasion "horror" movie story.

It is not the best, but it is not a waste of time.
