Mater (2019)
Pleasantly surprised
At first I thought the film is dealing with a subject that we've seen being explored before and on top of it is a bit mundane and I would prefer to see something more special. However, what won me over was the ending as I didn't see it going in that direction and nowadays few films can surprise me. The atypical way the film was shot was also a positive contribution. While I would not list it among my favorite films, I feel it is better than what usually comes from our country.
Comic Sans (2018)
Underwhelming
The main reason I remain unimpressed is the fact we were given an unsympathetic character to follow who only repeated frequent movie-protagonist stereotypes such as drinking, drugs, smoking and cheating in a relationship. The cheating aspect I felt was quite trivialised, not actually in terms of the male protagonist but the two females who were for some reason quick to cheat on their boyfriends with the protagonist for God knows what reason (repeating the cliche about girls liking bad boys) but in the end their two partners never find out. Maybe such a thing happens in real life but it's unsatisfying to watch.
The protagonist's road to self-improvement starts somewhat later in the film, which isn't ideal given the fact he isn't sympathetic, but therefore I enjoyed even more the fact that his transformation in the end isn't overly dramatic but milder. However, the lateness also created an issue in defining the relationship of the protagonist and his father. We never find out why there are issues. We can't judge does the protagonist have a legitimate reason to be angry with him or not. Their interactions were otherwise nice. Nothing revolutionary but was precisely that every day-ness and familiarity that made it enjoyable for me as I could identify.
Some acting performances were nice and the scenery of the island of Vis as well but that wasn't enough for me, especially since I've seen numerous positive reactions.

Too few things to commend it for
I've seen some praise that the film doesn't look cheap in spite of its budget not being lavish. While that is praiseworthy in theory, it becomes pretty irrelevant when the story is this bad, the characters are so stereotypical, and the acting is uneven- ranging from good performances to those that are not.
Iza stakla (2008)
So-so
The topic of a love triangle isn't too fresh but as an ongoing problem for many people, it can still be interesting and I was somewhat intrigued. However, what spoiled it for me was the ending, which I felt was moralizing.
Vis-à-vis (2013)
Enjoyable
A meta-film that could be suspected of dealing with only first world problems and being of interest only to the people in the filmmakers' vicinity. However, it is put together neatly, with some nice performances, so it ends up being engaging and thus enjoyable.
