Peacemaker (2022)
Loved it!
I was not really into Suicide Squad; therefore, I was happily surprised with how amazing Peacemaker is. Compared to the films, the show provides more character depth and has a great storyline. John Cena did a phenomenal job in this role. I have to admit, I did not think he would be this great, but he is Peacemaker for sure.
Vigilante was also amazing; I had no idea ge was the guy from Harry Potter! This show is very well casted. I am really enjoying watching the way some characters start off in one direction and then start questioning everything. It has a great balance of drama, comedy, and action.
Eagley stole the show.
American Horror Stories: Tapeworm (2023)
Shines a light on serious issues.
The first 5 seconds of the episode, and I already knew that the main character was am actress going on go-sees. I am glad that this episode showed the absolutely toxic environment that is the modeling industry. With shows like the America's Next Top Model glamorizing and down playing said insidious industry, seeing this episode aligns more with what many models have said about their time in it. The episode also sheds light on how sad many known and unknown people's reality was and is. It also posses the question: how far will you go in order to reach your goals? How much will you sacrifice to get what you want?
American Horror Stories: Bestie (2023)
Loved the twists and turns
This episode has you thinking it goes one way and then it completely spins in the opposite direction. It definitely had some very shocking scenes; I did not understand the costume part, and when I did, I was completely shocked. I'm glad that they showed so much character development. It did start a little slow, but it does pick up. We need to remember that there needs to be a little backstory sometimes in order to get the bigget picture. This story was complicated due to all the different turns. I really appreciated them showing the very brief, but very important, scene of the teacher yelling at the doctor's. It makes a later scene more tragic.
Well done.
