Diva at the Beauty Salon - TV Pilot
"Diva at the Beauty Salon" is the pilot episode to a TV sitcom titled "Diva at the..." The series was created by SAG actress, and pop-rock adult contemporary artist, Marneen Lynne Fields who's also a scriptwriter. Marneen came up with the idea to share weekly stories about her career as a professional actress (1976 to present), and a Hollywood stunt woman and stunt actress from (1976 to 1991). Marneen has been a serious student of acting since she minored in Theater Arts at Utah State University, and it was at that time she developed a love of Woody Allen films, and Neil Simon plays. She performed many Neil Simon scenes doing actor's scene study for ten years and performed a couple of his plays in small theater productions in Los Angeles. Each episode of "Diva at the..." will see Marneen face a bitter-sweet, half fictional, half reality comedic challenge in her career. "Diva at the Beauty Salon" stars Paul Bourgeois in the role of Arte the hairdresser, Ron Lehmann as Claude the British fashion designer, Lillian Robinson as the Lady under the Dryer, and David Finkelstein as Mikey the cameraman. The story reinacts when Marneen made the coveted Page 3 of "Star Magazine" in the 1980s. "Diva at the Beauty Salon" was exclusively executive produced, written, directed, and edited by Marneen via her Heavenly Waterfall Song Publishing and Productions Company. Marneen's Heavenly Waterfall (ASCAP) song publishing division published two of the songs in the piece or which she also composed the title track, "Diva at the Beauty Salon," and "Chart a Better Course."
