Opa was supposed to break down an old hen house, but mistakenly tore down the wrong one, belonging to the local butcher. He also gets blamed for the disappearance of the butcher's rooster. On top of that the old man receives 14 fuchsias to celebrate his 50th anniversary as a member of the old men's choir.

During a visit to the swimming pool, Nurse Klivia mistakes Arie Pruiselaar Jr. for Wim Sonneveld. B.B. Boordevol persuades Pruiselaar to use this opportunity to sell his old caravan to Klivia. Meanwhile Gerrit's grandpa recognizes Arie's father, Pruiselaar Sr, as his former brother-in-law. When Klivia calls the real Wim Sonneveld to tell him the deal is off, the actual Wim shows up at the rest house instead of his double.

Opa has accidentally driven into a souvenir shop and broken some of the toy windmills and a Delfs Blauw plate. The shopkeeper, Mrs. Blits, demands 200 guilders in compensation. While trying to scramble the money together, Nurse Klivia promises to look after the shop while B.B. Boordevol takes Blits out to lunch. She is very impressed with B.B.'s flowing black hairdo, unknowing that it is a brand new wig made by Jet.
