Frank Rawlings is an acclaimed Hollywood director. Or at least he was. His best friend and producer, Samantha Carlson, tells the story (a version of it) of how she and Frank came to be shooting a movie on a microscopic budget in a small GA town.
Director Frank is looking for an actress for his movie. Candi just isn't it. But she does have other fine qualities (two in particular) and she seems determined to show them to Frank.
Why is it so hard to find an actress in this town? Frank is so desperate he'll audition just about anyone, even bar waitresses. But at least Sam has found an actor for the lead role.
