Natalie finds evidence of bird attacks on her farm when she discovers her chickens are missing and one of her geese injured. While trying to locate the predator's entry point, Natalie is baffled when she finds her guard dog lying down on the job.
Sean and Natalie's wedding anniversary is around the corner, but running the family farms takes priority. Natalie fares the cycle of life as she deals with another sick lamb and buys new baby chicks to build up her flock that predators wiped out.
Natalie is planning her first fiber workshop to build her brand and the whole family pitches in. Meanwhile, she's having trouble with her expensive new sheepdog, Lad who's not listening to commands, and is aggressive towards the flock.
Natalie installs a professional shearing system that will allow her to be more efficient, but she struggles while learning how to handle the high-tech machine. Later, she frantically rushes to save one of her sheep that's having a severe allergic reaction.
Natalie learns that her sheep flock may be diseased. She races to weed out the sick ones to prevent losing up to a third of her flock. When Connery returns from the UK, he and Natalie butt heads over issues on the farm.
